Kathleen R. Hennessy

Kathleen R. Hennessy graduated from Saint Mary's College in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a minor in Sociology. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1991.

In 1991, Ms. Hennessy earned her license to practice law in the state of Missouri and in the State of Illinois in 1992. She is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Ms. Hennessy began her legal career as an associate with the law firm of Rock, Fusco, Reynolds & Garvey, Ltd. (now Rock Fusco, LLC) in Chicago, Illinois. After three years, she joined the firm Defrees & Fiske, LLC in Chicago, Illinois as an associate handling estate planning, probate and trust matters. From 1997 to 2003, she was employed by the legal department of The Northern Trust Company in Chicago, where she served as Vice President and Sr. Cor,porate Attorney in the trust counsel group. Ms. Hennessy later joined Harris N.A. (formerly known as Harris Trust & Savings Bank) as Vice President and Senior Trust Administrator and handled the settlement of estates, the administration of guardianship and minor’s estates, and the administration of trusts.

Thereafter, Ms. Hennessy was again engaged in the private practice of law as the owner of her own firm, which concentrated in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, guardianships, minor's estates, contested estates, and guardianship litigation. As of April, 2011, Ms. Hennessy joined the law firm of HUCK & BRISSKE, LLC .

Currently residing in the western suburbs with her daughters, Ms. Hennessy is a life-long resident of the Chicagoland area, having also lived in the city of Chicago and in the south-west suburbs. Ms. Hennessy spent her sophomore year of college studying at St. Patrick’s College in Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland and took that opportunity to visit much of Western Europe. Her more recent excursions from Chicago lead her to sunny destinations. She also occasionally enjoys the frustrations of golf and loves to travel.
